Binghamton University follows New York State mandate to meet LEED Silver level building design and construction practices. Credit MRp2 pertains to Construction Waste Management: divert a minimum of 50% materials from disposal. Currently still under construction is our School of Pharmacy in Johnson City. Three warehouse style buildings were demolished with all materials recycled. Soil excavated for building foundation was also totally distributed to regrade the construction area.
