A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
•The Learning/Training Coordinator provides education, discussion, information, and resources to all new staff employees as part of their “new employee” orientation workshops, including a handout with information and resources.
•All staff are expected to work according performance standards, called Workplace Expectations, which are connected to our core values, and one of these is expressed as “Encourage Plain and Sustainable Living.” The annual performance evaluation process includes self and supervisor evaluation of these Workplace Expectations.
•Resources are available to all staff via the “Energy Management” channel on the “Resources” tab in the myBerea web portal, and the Berea College “Sustainability” webpage -- http://www.berea.edu/sustainability/ -- with numerous informational resources.
