A brief description of the institution’s methodology for evaluating employee satisfaction:
•Berea College participated in the first “Great Colleges to Work For” survey conducted by The Chronicle of Higher Education in 2008.
•Berea College also participated in the first Modern Think employee satisfaction survey in competition for the Best Places to Work in Kentucky in 2005. We were ranked 12th in the large employer category based on the responses of our work force.
•Prior to both these surveys, an in-depth employee satisfaction survey of the staff and faculty was conducted in 2000 which provided valuable feedback on a number of important issues. The analysis of that data led us to make substantial improvements in the employee benefits package.
•In our planning efforts, we have two surveys that will be conducted in 2012.
