Name or title of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Sustainability Cords for Graduating students

A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome that outlines how credit criteria are met and any positive measurable outcomes associated with the innovation:
The Bentley Office of Sustainability launched a new program in May 2023 to honor graduating undergraduate seniors who made significant contributions to sustainability on campus. These students were honored with a graduation cord so they could be acknowledged at graduation. Honor cords are not only awarded to students who major or minor in sustainability, but they are also awarded to students who participate in sustainability efforts on campus in a meaningful way. Students qualified if they majored or minored in a sustainability topic, actively participated in a sustainability student group, served on a campus committee related to a sustainability topic or who worked on a sustainability project. Students applied to be given the cords a few weeks before graduation and members of the Office of Sustainability determine who will receive them. This honor cord represents students efforts to make a lasting positive impact at Bentley and their preparedness to be agents for sustainable change in society.
