A brief description of how the institution engages in public policy advocacy for sustainability at the municipal/local level:
Bentley University wrote a letter supporting the City of Waltham's application for an Action Grant under the State Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness (MVP) program. Amanda King, Executive Director of the Office of Sustainability, signed the letter on behalf of Bentley University and submitted it in November 2019. Waltham was awarded the grant and used the money to complete vulnerability assessments and develop action-oriented resiliency plans for the City to deal with the effects of Climate Change. Bentley participated in the planning meetings for this project.
