Bentley's Director of Sustainability chairs the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Energy and Sustainability Committee where energy and sustainability policy recommendations are made to the state legislature.

Bentley's Director of Sustainability serves as a member of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable Energy Task Force. Where energy policy recommendations are made to the state legislature.

The university signed the "American Campuses Act on Climate" pledge in November, 2015 to encourage the United States and other countries to agree on aggressive greenhouse gas reduction targets at the Paris Climate Accords in December 2015.
