The university completed a climate assessment within the past five years focused on student perceptions of LGBTQ issues on campus.
The results of this assessment lead to "student ally workshops." An ally is a trained peer who serves as a partner and advocate related to LGBTQ issues.

Yes

A brief description of the student diversity and educational equity assessment(s):

Student diversity and educational equity is assessed through various means. Information from assessments has lead to several policies including a "diversity intensive course requirement" and "international intensive course requirement" both of which state that all students must take at least one course that satisfies each requirement. This was the result of assessing the need for including diversity education in the core curriculum.

A brief description of the employee diversity and employment equity assessment(s):

The university is continually assessing equal employment opportunity data and has created new search and hiring policies created to increase diversity among faculty and staff. This policy has resulted in a recent increase in diversity hires in both faculty and staff offices.
