Yes. Representatives from Buildings and Grounds have attended the Efficiency Vermont Better Buildings by Design Conference in Burlington, VT.

Yes, the latest renovation on campus-- the Commons-- building has been submitted to many different organizations based on its recent renovation. The whole building is insulated over Vermont Energy Code requirement, has all LED lighting on a building management system, all on heat pumps, and during the shoulder seasons and winter is provided domestic heat and hot water from our biomass plant.

Buildings and Grounds has a very close and collaborative relationship with Efficiency Vermont and it's employees. Both in formal and informal communications, BC and EV work together to make campus initiatives become reality.

Most have been informal, causal conversations that are possible because of connections through Efficiency Vermont, ACUPCC, and second Nature. Because of the close relationship we have with EV, we are often engaged in round tables and conversations with other large rate payers, colleges and universities, and vendors of new technology.
