Belmont University’s goal is to design high performing and sustainable buildings. As part of this goal, a construction waste management plan is implemented on major construction projects. This management plan identifies the likely recyclable construction materials on a project, and the locations and vendors where those recyclables will be handled. Typically, co mingled dumpsters are used, and materials are sorted off-site and subsequently hauled to the appropriate recycle location. This process greatly reduces the amount of waste input into our regional landfills
