A brief description of the institution’s indoor air quality program(s) (including information about regular auditing or monitoring, mechanisms for occupants to register complaints, and action plans):
Belmont University has several underground garages where indoor air quality is continuously monitored for CO. Exhaust fans are installed and programmed automatically come on when CO levels meet certain thresholds in these garages.
CO an CO2 are monitored in the 3500 seat Curb Event Center and fresh air intake is adjusted as required.
Building occupants may register concerns about indoor air quality by contacting the FMS department. Tests are then conducted by a third party and corrections made if required. During Fiscal Year 2015, Belmont spent over $10,000 on indoor air quality testing.
