A brief description of the cultural competence trainings and activities:
"Let's Talk About Race" is a two-day workshop offered to all Bellevue College employees that provides an opportunity to learn to dialogue about race, racism and whiteness in a safe place and increase our understanding of others. As a continuing part of the college's commitment to pluralism and inclusion, BC has worked to create dialogue about the many inequities in our society that directly impact the success of our students. We dialogue to become more culturally competent, to be aware of our own perspectives and those of our students who lead very diverse lives.
