*Jennifer Rosales, Vice President for Inclusion and Engaged Learning, and Chief Diversity Officer (Office of DEI). The VP and CDO provides strategic vision and leadership in cultivating an inclusive campus by advancing a holistic approach to institutional learning. Through the Office for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, she proactively develops and implements policies and programs that educate and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion as core values of the College.
*Council on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is charged with the following:

--Expanding the dialogue about diversity, inclusion, and equity to include the entire Barnard community of students, faculty, staff, and alumnae.
--Promoting and coordinating campus-wide participation in the College’s diversity and inclusion efforts.
--Managing and monitoring the implementation of recommendations from the President’s Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion.
--Advising on ongoing and new initiatives that create a more diverse and inclusive campus community.

*Faculty Diversity and Development Committee
--Works to help the College fulfill its mission to increase and maintain diversity among the faculty and to expand the College’s support for faculty throughout their careers. The Committee assists departments and programs in ensuring that faculty searches are fair and open, organizes new faculty orientation and mentoring, and provides support to departments and chairs in preparing reappointment and tenure cases. The Committee is also available to work with departments and programs in identifying their diversity goals and the strategies they choose to achieve them. The Committee supports programs that increase faculty diversity and development to promote an open and inclusive campus climate for all faculty.

*Student Government Committee for Inclusive Initiatives
--The Committee for Inclusive Initiatives works to promote open discussion, foster community dialogues, support and develop programs and practices that engage the community in building an inclusive campus climate. Students on this committee survey several areas of Barnard College, in particular, the student body, faculty, and administration, and present thoughtful and practical approaches to improving the dynamics of inclusion and equity in all facets of the College. The committee addresses issues of identity, surrounding, but not limited to, sexual orientation, ethnicity, culture, religion, gender, socioeconomic class, education, citizenship, and ability. The committee creates forums in which students can participate in meaningful and evocative discussions surrounding the above issues.

* Office of Community Access and Engagement
CEI fosters an ecosystem of high impact engaged scholarship, civic and community engagement for the college, our university partners, community organizations and stakeholders across Morningside Heights, Harlem and neighborhoods across upper Manhattan as well as the city. CEI inspires a curiosity in civic participation with a commitment to tackling critical social justice issues locally, nationally and globally.

Barnard's Office of Student Engagement & Experience hosts a mandatory Identity and Inclusion session during New Student Orientation (NSOP) every year. All students participate in cultural competence, inclusion training/activities during their time here. We also assess this session every year, both right after it occurs and in the overall NSOP Survey. Other student leaders also receive more enhanced training related to their position (i.e. RAs, OLs, Wellness Spot Peer Eds). The Center for Engaged Pedagogy hosts workshops and programming throughout the year for faculty and students, faculty and staff participated in monthly assemblies for racial justice, faculty, staff and students serve on the Diversity Council, DEI office led workshops on implicit bias and microaggressions.
