Has the institution conducted a GHG emissions inventory within the previous three years that includes all Scope 1 and 2 emissions? :
Yes
A copy of the most recent GHG emissions inventory:
A brief description of the methodology and/or tool used to complete the GHG emissions inventory:
Barnard College used SIMAP to produce this 2018 GHG report. Barnard joined the NYC Mayor's Carbon Challenge in 2009, and has data on GHG emissions from 2005. Our NYC Carbon Challenge reporting was conducted by an external consultant, Luthin (now Five). Our SIMAP reporting was conducted internally, using data compiled by Luthin for the Carbon Challenge, along with data from our Facilities Department.
Has the GHG emissions inventory been validated internally by personnel who are independent of the GHG accounting and reporting process and/or verified by an independent, external third party?:
No
