A brief description of the single-use disposable plastics that have been banned or eliminated:
Barnard has discontinued single-use plastic straws and Styrofoam in all dining halls and cafes on campus. The plastic straw elimination took place in fall 2018 as an agreement between Barnard Sustainability and our food service provider. Styrofoam elimination took place many years prior.
