A brief description of the methodology used to complete the course inventory :
We used two methods to determine the eligibility of courses. First, we administered a survey asking faculty members to identify courses they teach that have sustainability content. In the survey, faculty members were provided with definitions and examples of sustainability focused and sustainability related content. Second, we obtained from the course registration system a list of the courses offered by the College in the academic year (2019-20). We matched faculty responses in the survey with the course offering records. We reviewed the course titles and descriptions to distinguish content that was sustainability focused versus sustainability related. Courses were excluded based on the criteria provided by the sampling and data standard of section AC-1.
Excluded: Discussion/recitations, courses with 4 or less students, excluded individually directed courses and studio courses in dance and physical education.
We used a unique count of courses offered. Each course was counted as a single course regardless of the number of offerings or sections
