Bard has a New Construction & Renovation Policy which outlines the Basis of Design for building professionals.

From 2017 to 2019, only (2) buildings were constructed on campus-- a 800ft2 media center made from (4) shipping containers, and an renovation of a 2300ft2 house plus 900ft2 addition. The buildings have high-performance envelopes and HVAC systems.

Future planned construction projects (dining hall addition; new field house; new dorms; library addition, etc) are all targeted for LEED Gold certification.
