During Covid, Bard employees have used their flexible work hours to volunteer in the community. For example, they serve as Shift Operators for Red Hook Responds and deliver food, making up the hours later in the day.
Ongoing initiatives engage the Bard Community with local partners. Bard holds an annual day of engagement on Martin Luther King Jr. Day where first year students participate with more than 20 organizations. Over 400 additional students participate in TLS projects, EMS, BRAVE, and Peer Health.
