Bard participates in Recyclemania but has difficulty doing dorm by dorm comparisons. In 2010 and 2011 we undertook a Compost Contest. Each week during Recyclemania, compost buckets removed from each kitchen are weighed. Information is shared via a Facebook Event, a campus Announce and kitchen flyers.
A brief description of the measured positive impact(s) of the campaign(s):
Over the course of the contest, residence halls increased their compost production, as measured by an increase in the # of buckets requested for compost, and increased pounds generated.
