Other University sponsored programs include:

1) Angels for Life Blood Drive: This is one of the community service projects of the Ball State Staff Council, the Angels for Life Committee has been working with the Indiana Blood Center since 2008 holding blood drives on campus.
In 2022, events were held in January, March, May, September, and November and are open to all faculty, staff, and students. A total of 282 units of blood was donated saving up to 846 Hoosier hospital patients. 2) Angel Tree Wrapping Event: This is an annual event where the Ball State Community comes together to help children and their families around the holidays. In 2022, 88 Ball State students, faculty, and community members sponsored 148 Delaware County children who were removed from their homes during the holiday season. They provided approximately 890 gifts. 47 students volunteered a total of 118 hours wrapping all of the gifts for the children.

3) Adopt a Family: Each year the Staff Council collaborates with the Salvation Army to "adopt" families during the Christmas season. In 2022, we adopted two families with a total of 11 children. Staff Council members received a total of $1,541 in monetary donations. This money was used to purchase presents, a Christmas tree with decorations for one of the families, and gift cards.
