Does the institution host a food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource focused on alleviating food insecurity, hunger and poverty among students?:
Yes

A brief description of the food bank, pantry, or equivalent resource:
Cardinal Kitchen is Ball State University’s campus food pantry. The pantry is located in the Student Center and is available for use to all undergraduate and graduate students.

Its goal is to mitigate food insecurity, which is faced by students locally and across the nation.
The University supports Cardinal Kitchen through annual funding allotments awarded by the Student Organization Fund Allocation Committee. Cardinal Kitchen also relies on donations (monetary, food, and toiletry items) from faculty, staff, students, and the greater Muncie community.

Cardinal Kitchen neither limits visits nor sets a threshold of need, and has served more than 500 students since it’s January 2015 opening.
