A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive program(s) offered by the institution:
Ball State University supports a rigorous program in immersive learning, where teams of students work in collaboration with a faculty mentor and community partner to solve a problem through creation of a product over the course of a fifteen-week semester (or longer). In 2017, 2018, and 2019, we had 56 total projects that dealt with the concept of sustainability, the interdependence of ecological and social/economic systems, and/or a major sustainability challenge (see attached).
