A brief description of the institution’s assurance process:
We developed a two-step, internal assurance process. First, for each reporting category, we assigned a "Category Supervisor" who is not responsible for data collection or entry, but who is familiar with the category, requirements, and university processes related to the category.
After data collection was complete, category supervisors were given two weeks to review, verify and edit (if necessary) information collected and entered by category data reporters.
Then, the STARS report coordinator, Jennifer Palilonis, engaged in a review of all category entries to further ensure accuracy and quality.
