Included in the newly-drafted (next generation) campus master plan for further campus development is a future expansion of bicycle routes through campus which will connect to bicycle lanes in the city streets system and the regional Greenway.
Ball State University has instituted and was approved by the board of trustees an strategic imperative to reduce its total carbon footprint to 60,000 mtCo2e by 2024. This is a milestone to the pathway of obtaining carbon neutral by 2030. A Presidents Sustainability Working Group was established by the President to determine the means and develop a template to carbon neutral by 2030.
