The Immigration Process
Ball State appreciates the benefits provided by international professionals. They enhance Ball
State’s academic and cultural credentials and make a significant contribution to our vibrant
community. However, the process can be challenging. Ball State offers sessions to learn about the
immigration process including necessary visas, the application process, and the rules and
regulations that must be followed.

Avoiding Culture Shock in the Workplace
In today’s multicultural world, assuming sameness among others can threaten both personal and professional relationships. In this workshop we will explore (1) the meaning of culture and the different pieces of the cultural puzzle; (2) communication techniques to avoid misinterpretation and misunderstanding; and (3) differences in behavior, thinking patterns and concepts of reality among cross-cultural groups.
