LaunchNet: IdeaLabs Competition
LaunchNET is a co-curricular program providing free and confidential venture coaching, idea contests, pitch competitions, networking opportunities, in-class presentations, and a host of visiting entrepreneurs and activities that complement BW’s innovation and entrepreneurship courses. All students, faculty, staff, and alumni may use these resources to navigate potential ideas they may have.
In the spring (i.e., every March), BW hosts the IdeaLabs competition. The first round of the competition is to award $1,000 to the best innovative project idea at BW. The second round of the competition is for the winners to compete against other universities. BW is a member of the EEC (Entrepreneurship Education Consortium). A description of the organization is available at: http://eecohio.com/. Here is a link to a description of the contest an winner in 2014: https://www.bw.edu/news/2014/student-wins-idealabs-contest-for-second-year.
