Babson's wellness initiatives for students include (1) counseling services, alcohol & other drug services (AODS), (2) sexual assault prevention & response services (SAPRS), (3) health promotion, and (4) peers on wellness. For more information see

Staff and faculty:
(1) The Employee Assistance Plan (EAP) is an employee benefit provided through Katherine Greer Associates (KGA) at no cost to employees.

Services are designed to help you and your household members) with a host of everyday personal concerns or life issues you may face, at home or at work.

The confidential service provides professional face-to-face counseling and referral networks.

(2) Be Well@Babson started in the fall of 2009 at Babson College.  The program focuses on educating, promoting, and empowering members of the Babson community to make healthier lifestyle choices.  The Be Well@Babson program supports the importance of living a healthy life through the integration and introduction of wellness-based initiatives such as new exercise routines, stress management seminars, and eating healthy.  Be Well@Babson highlights Babson’s commitment to promoting and living a healthy lifestyle by educating Babson employees about the many ways in which they can start and continue to Be Well, at Babson and throughout their lives!

Counselors at KGA provide short-term counseling on family, financial, substance abuse, legal matters, etc. THE work-life benefits include childcare and eldercare referral services, and the legal services include consultation with a network of attorneys. Lyra Health provides high-quality care for employee's emotional and mental health at no cost to employees.  Whether they’re feeling stressed, anxious, or depressed, Lyra has a care option that’s right for each individual. With research-backed treatment methods and top coaches, therapists, and digital tools, employees and their family members can access easy-to-use support.

Employees and family members can access up to 12 coaching or therapy sessions per person, per year, at no cost. In addition, they have unlimited access to Lyra’s rich library of self-care resources and digital activities.

Those on our medical plan are eligible for an annual, preventive mental health wellness examination with access to a comprehensive mental health resource center.

Babson strives to create a holistic wellness environment comprised of opportunities to educate, promote, and empower employees to live a healthier lifestyle. Through the introduction and integration of wellness-based initiatives, our goal is to establish a culture of well-being.  We are committed to supporting whole-person health through our Seven Dimensions of Wellness framework.  Employees have free access to the Len Green Recreation & Athletics Complex, including indoor track, weight rooms, open swim sessions and group fitness classes.  Additionally, classes are offered for:

Fit Walk

Yoga

Various volunteer events on campus

Find your Fit

 

Additionally, all employees have access to Wellbeats, a virtual fitness platform, which offers the opportunity to exercise anytime, anywhere. Employees have access to over 1,000 fitness, nutrition, and mindfulness classes for all ages, abilities, and interests.

The Babson Protective Fund was established by a Declaration of Trust dated January 1, 1923.  The purpose of the trust is to “provide for the comfort, support, maintenance, and emergency needs and emotional and physical health of Babson College employees.”  The trust is administered by former Alumni who seek to continue to support employees who may benefit from some financial assistance
