1) The Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee advises the senior staff (President and Vice Presidents) on sustainability opportunities.
2) The Environmental Sustainability Implementation Subcommittee ensures that adopted green policies are maintained, solves problems arising from adopted green practices, discusses additional opportunities to make the campus greener.
3) The Thinking Green Campus Awareness Committee seeks to increase campus participation in environmental responsibility and sustainable utilization of resources so that students will enrich their communities beyond Austin College.

A brief description of the activities and substantive accomplishments of the institution-wide coordinating body or officer during the previous three years:

The Environmental Sustainability Advisory Committee helped create and get administrative approval for a campus master sustainability plan in 2018. The plan includes goals related to energy and climate, education and engagement, resource management and buildings/grounds maintenance.
The committee has also been active in resolving issues related to campus recycling now that Sherman no longer offers curbside services. The college now uses Recyclops for bulk pick-up.
