A brief description of the institution’s formal community partnership to advance sustainability, including website URL (if available) and information to support each affirmative response above:
We offer free field trips for 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders to our Sneed Prairie Restoration site. Schools around the region are invited each semester, and their bus expenses to get to the prairie are reimbursed by us. Local teachers helped us design the curriculum and we have many school districts that participate year after year. The primary focus of the field trip is education about ecosystems and how ecosystem restoration can make society more sustainable. The field trips are lead by Austin College students who have taken courses that involved working at the prairie restoration site.
