"D'Olive Watershed Restoration Workshop: Share restoration technologies and experiences among practitioners and scientists in order to optimize future restoration efforts for efficiency and effectiveness. Expected outcomes are increased competence and capacity among practitioners to complete successful restoration processes.
Stream Assessment Workshop: This 2-day workshop introduces concepts of fluvial geomorphology and stream processes related to channel and floodplain formation, bankfull stage identification, regional hydraulic geometry curves, applications of the Rosgen classification system for natural streams in the Southeast, and assessment tools for stream morphological and ecological conditions.
2018 Alabama Stormwater Forum: This is a statewide meeting of individuals to discuss green infrastructure, low impact development, economics, and innovative restoration technology.
Container Gardening- Learn how to grow shrubs, annuals, perennials, bulbs, & vegetables in containers. Learn what types of containers are available and how to use your own unique containers! See the results of using proper plant mixes and fertilizers. Utilize simple trellises for height. Combine plants of different types for beautiful or bountiful container gardens. Design containers for specific areas of your home.
Herbs: Culinary, Medicinal, Wild, and Wonderful. This course will discuss various domestic and wild herbs and common preparation techniques. Culinary and medicinal uses will be explored with examples and class demonstrations.
