A brief description of the sustainability trainings and professional development opportunities available to staff :
New in Fall of 2015 the Office of Sustainability held a new course titled: "Sustainability: Optimizing Your Workplace for Long-Term Success." Employees from across campus learn about sustainability principles and practices and how to integrate them into the work setting. The class explores sustainability concepts through conversation and exercises. The class addresses learning how to support Auburn’s strategic commitment to sustainability; gaining tools to help achieve goals; and developing relationships with others dedicated to making a difference. Upon completion of the course, participants may elect to be recognized as an Eco-Eagle by taking a leadership role in building a culture and practice of sustainability at Auburn.
