Climate neutrality by 2050 is the ultimate goal. This will be achieved through reduction or mitigation of 100% of scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions from 2008 levels for core campus.

Initial reductions targets are set at 10% reduction by 2015 (compared to 2008 baseline) for the following emissions categories:
- purchased electricity
- on-campus stationary combustion (heating)
- commuting
- campus funded travel
- campus fleet
In 2015, the campus community will evaluate the targets, and establish additional interim targets to create checkpoints leading to the neutrality goal in 2050.
