A brief description of the program, including an indication of its scope (e.g., the number of bicycles the program makes available, participation levels, etc.):
War Eagle Wheels (WEW) is a bike share program designed to provide an easy and efficient source of travel on the campus of Auburn University. Initially, the program will offer 75 bicycles to the Auburn University community. According to demand and level of participation, the program will expand as it matures. WEW is designed for those who commute to campus, park on the outskirts and need a ride to the center of campus, as well as students who need a quick ride across campus. This program was modeled after a similar successful effort at Mississippi State University. Bike racks located on campus near entrances and parking lots will be home to the WEW bicycles. Riders may select a bike at any rack and ride it to any building, class or destination on campus. Upon arrival at the destination, students will return the bike by placing it at a rack nearby where others may then have access to it. All bicycles will be registered and should only be used on-campus.
