Businesses are provided with the opportunity to self-report their minority ownership status during the vendor set up process.
Additionally, the Office of Procurement and Payment Services (PPS) provided targeted outreach at 2 events in August, 2012. In conjunction with AU’s Small Business Development Center and the Office of Multicultural Affairs, PPS participated in the Greater Peace 2012 Black Business Fair and Matchmaker, Opelika AL- August 2 2012. Also in conjunction with Multicultural Affairs, PPS participated in the 2012 South Region Minority Supplier Development Council Business Connections Conference & Business Opportunity Expo, Birmingham AL- August 14-15, 2012.
In August of 2012 the PPS Director attended the National Association of Educational Procurement 2012 Supplier Diversity Conference.
