A brief description of the native plant program, policy, or practice:
Most new construction projects on campus are LEED-certified and emphasize the use of native plants that are adaptable to site conditions and sustainable once established. Projects designed and installed by Landscape Services give preference to native plants, provided they meet the above criteria. The use of native plants in campus landscapes is likely to be reinforced by the campus landscape master plan currently being developed.
