A brief description of the metering system:
Auburn University owns and maintains the electrical, gas, chilled water, hot water, and steam systems on campus. Billing points exist on the outskirts of campus for electricity and gas from the utilities that feed us. We sub-meter all of the buildings from there. The Metasys (Johnson Controls) system collects the chilled water, hot water, and steam meter information. We are in the process of installing an Automatic Meter Reading system from Aclara for the electric and gas systems. Up to this point, those meters have been read manually once per month.
