If total performance year carbon sinks are greater than zero, provide:
Offsets are from ASU's Carbon Project: https://cfo.asu.edu/carbon-project
ASU has worked with the cities of Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe to plant trees in locations such as community parks - combining carbon removal with urban heat island mitigation. These trees are periodically inventoried with a GIS tool to ensure they are still alive and growing. Through our previous relationship with Urban Offsets, ASU bundled these trees with offsets verified under the Verra protocol.
Note that Gross Scope 2 GHG emissions from imported electricity are reported as 0 due to purchased electricity being matched with RECs (see "Clean and Renewable Energy" for more information).
