A brief description of the policies and/or programs:

Arizona State University is in the process of developing an Environmental Impact Fee (EIF) is an innovative approach to mitigating all greenhouse gas emissions generated by air travel. All non-athletic university business airline travel will be assessed and environmental impact fee based on zones for travel. The funding will be invested in programs on campus that reduce travel related emissions. The next iteration of the program will shift the calculation to a mileage based formula that will also include ground travel.
