Does the institution have a bicycle-sharing program or participate in a local bicycle-sharing program?:
A brief description of the program, including an indication of its scope (e.g., the number of bicycles the program makes available, participation levels, etc.):
The Boone bike initiative began in 2007 with a grant from a US EPA P3 (People, Prosperity and the Planet) student design competition for sustainability. There are 12 bicycles which are loaned out for a month at a time. There is a $10 fee for the month for routine maintenance and upkeep of the shop. Demand for the bicycles is high.
