Appalachian State is currently seeking the Tree Campus USA designation per the requirements set forth from the Arbor Day. We are currently in the process of developing a sophisticated gps-enabled inventory whose data will be available for the Physical Plant, the Appalachian State-owned utility and faculty and student researchers. The tree inventory is expected to be completed in academic year 10-11 and submitted to Arbor Day Foundation for review in the 2012 period.
