A brief description of the institution's stormwater management initiatives:

The college is located in the Chesapeake watershed and is required to control all runoff from new construction and renovation projects. Additionally seven rain gardens have been strategically located to control run-off from impervious campus surfaces.

A 20' X 40' garden is located on the roof of the Center for Applied Learning and maintained by a local specialty landscaping company certified to do so. A second green roof is planned for the library renovation and should open in August, 2012.
