A brief description of the program(s):

Anne Arundel Community College full time faculty may apply for the following:

1. Designs for Learning Grants available from the Teaching and Learning Committee, Office of Learning, to enhance curricula

2. Professional Development Program available from Office of Learning to attend courses, programs, workshops, and conferences

3. Online and Hybrid Course Development Program available from the Virtual Campus to develop new online or hybrid courses

4. Equated Credits available from Office of Learning for time donated to participation in external events or organizations


A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:

Depending on the grant, faculty receive release time (RT), overload pay (OL), reimbursement for travel and tuition/fees, or Equated Credits. RT or OL range from 1.5 to 3 FLH (Faculty Load Hours), or approximately 10 to 20% of a full time faculty member's semester contractual obligation. Equated Credits are a function of the amount of time donated and are applied toward eligibility requirements for promotion.
