A brief description of the garden:
Biology students and their professor plan, plant, and maintain several rain gardens strategically placed between parking lots and storm drains on campus. Initial plantings occurred in Spring 2010 and additional plantings occurred in Spring 2011. More information may be found through the Director, Environmental Center. Also, an organic garden was planted on campus as a project for Kids in College. The objective of the project was to teach campers in culinary classes the connection between the food they prepare and the garden from where it is harvested. The produce was used in a variety of recipes throughout the summer of 2010.
