AUCA offers a range of internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities for non-academic staff to enhance their understanding and involvement in sustainability initiatives. One key program is the Climate Fresk Workshop, which provides staff with interactive, hands-on training to deepen their understanding of climate change and its impacts. These workshops use dynamic, collaborative methods to engage participants in exploring climate science, fostering critical thinking and practical solutions for sustainability challenges. Additionally, staff can participate in various sustainability-themed seminars, workshops, and training sessions aimed at integrating sustainable practices into their daily operations and enhancing their role in the university’s environmental efforts. These opportunities are designed to empower staff, encourage sustainable behavior, and promote a cohesive approach to AUCA’s sustainability goals.

AUCA actively supports staff participation in external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability. This includes engaging in workshops, conferences, and training sessions hosted by leading organizations. Notably, staff are encouraged to attend the Global Sustainable Development Congress 2024, a significant event for discussing global sustainability issues and solutions. Additionally, AUCA supports participation in other prominent events such as the UN Climate Change Conference (COP), regional youth conferences like the RCOY Central Asia, and activities organized by the Sustainable Living University Network (SLUN) and the UNEP Academy of Sustainable Lifestyle Activators. These opportunities enable staff to stay informed about best practices, expand their professional networks, and implement innovative sustainability strategies at AUCA.
