Narrative outlining the data collection process used in the preparation of this report:
Credits were divided amoung office of sustainabiltiy staff and staff reviewed data sources, websites, and requested data from the appropriate offices to complete credits. In most cases offices received a spreadsheet with questions that included tabs of previous answers from past STARS reports for reference. Offices that needed to provide significant information or provided data for credits that had changed significantly, had individual meetings with sustainability staff prior to the data requests to review the credits and the changes so they would be aware of what we'd be asking and have a chance to ask questions. In all cases, sustainability staff were available for follow up data reviews or questions as needed.

Lucy Yearling, Jen Kunz, and Brynlee Hill, interns in the sustainability office, were involved with the reporting process. They were also assigned credits or parts of credits.
Jenna Zwanger, a graduate intern was hired to conduct an internal review of all credits to ensure completeness and accuracy of answers.
Description of the internal data quality controls used in the preparation of this report:
Sustainability staff reviewed department provided data for completeness and asked the departments follow up questions about the information provided as needed. The Sustainability Director met with all staff who were completing credits to review information before marking the credit as complete. Following that process, the graduate student hired for an internal review, reviewed credits independently and provided follow up questions or noted issues.
