Yes

Description of the institution’s programs designed to incentivize the use of public transportation:

The U·Pass program provides unlimited rides throughout the semester on Metrorail and Metrobus (including express and airport shuttle buses) for trips to school, work, internships, cultural events, and entertainment for a set fee paid each semester. The program extends to all full-time undergraduate, graduate, and law students.

A university run free shuttle is also available to connect users from the nearest metro station at Tenleytown and American University's campus.

Yes

Description of the institution’s bicycle or scooter sharing program:

Capital Bikeshare is the local bicycle-sharing program within Washington, D.C. There is one Capital Bikeshare location on main campus with 15 docks, one on Tenley Campus with 19 docks, and one on East Campus with 19 docks. Additionally, a discounted membership is available at $25 annually (normally $85 annually).

Yes

Description of the institution’s car sharing or carpool program:

The American University-Lyft RideSmart Program offers a sustainable, flexible, and cost effective transportation alternative for faculty, staff, and students conducting official university business. Departments are able to set up Lyft programs and utilize a central billing system for authorized users to book rides via the Lyft app. This allows students, faculty, and staff the flexibility to go off-campus when needed without worrying about needing a personal vehicle to get to their destination. Departments can set specific pickup and drop-off locations to ensure the program is only utilized for AU-affiliated business. https://www.american.edu/finance/transportation/lyft.cfm
