A brief description of the institution’s carbon mitigation projects:
AU entered into an agreement with Urban Offsets to plant 650 trees locally to offset commuting emissions. Urban Offsets worked the Anacostia Watershed Society, who chose the planting locations and then planted 475 trees.
These plantings will be peer validated in 2021 by a peer institution following The Offset Network's Peer Verification Protocol.
