A brief description of programs, policies, infrastructure investments, outreach efforts, and/or other factors that contributed to the diversion rate for construction and demolition waste:
The University has a green building policy and a zero waste to landfill and incineration policy. All small renovations and maintenance done by university facilities fall under the C&D waste reported here. Large magnetic signs are placed on C&D dumpsters to let facilities staff know what belongs in the bin. Recycling staff will also collect C&D materials from projects on campus to ensure they're diverted.
