A brief description of the institution’s carbon mitigation projects:
AU has entered into an agreement with Urban Offsets to plant 650 trees locally to offset commuting emissions. The trees were planted and locations were selected by a local nonprofit, the Anacostia Watershed Society. These plantings will be peer validated in 2020 by a peer institution following The Offset Network's Peer Verification Protocol.
