A brief description of the student sustainability research program:
The Sustainability Fund (https://www.american.edu/about/sustainability/get-involved/sustainability-fund.cfm) funds campus sustainability research projects proposed by members of the university community. This program is open to any member of the university community, including students.

A brief description of the faculty sustainability research program:
The faculty-established ECOllaborative group that connects faculty from across AU to engage in collaborative scholarship on issues of sustainability.
The Sustainability Fund funds campus sustainability research projects proposed by the university community. The program is open to any member of the university community, including faculty and staff.

Attached is the process for establishing joint appointments, in an effort to promote interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research activity and teaching at AU.

A brief description of the institution’s library support for sustainability research:
The Office of Sustainability offers full access to AU sustainability data, including energy and water use, to support faculty and students incorporating campus sustainability into research and courses.
Library Collections managers in specific themes pertaining to sustainability offer ongoing, targeted support to faculty and teaching assistants through guidance, expert knowledge, and continuously updates reference material. Those themes include science, environmental science, and sustainable practices in business (Kogod School of Business).
