AU's Sustainable Purchasing Policy requires the university to conduct purchasing in accordance with principles of social responsibility and environmental sustainability (https://www.american.edu/loader.cfm?csModule=security/getfile&pageid=2010993). The university is working to transition all virgin copy paper to 30% or 100% recycled content papers.
